But it was sheer delight reading your piece. Do write more.

I always thought these madvade was cookd in diesel oil from the engine drip. I feed it to my co passengers if I suspect them to talk too much. I even courier them to bad (unpaying) clients in my profession. There are some innovative uses too like after eating MV they can wipe it on the (head) hair for better growth and AIDES control.

I like the way the MV trafficker says 'manege thogondu hogi, parcel thogolli' as if he is my father in law during the wedding lunch.

Lastly we must see a notice on the trains saying that throwing up (MV's) into Kaveri river is dangerous to lives in Tamil nadu. The only known method of decomposing them besides eating is take it Afghanistan and bury it with the nuclear waste. We could send it to Pakistan as counter terrorism but Americans may object.

Vodophone can use it as thier ads in Muddur innovatively on the unsuspecting.

Yes Maddur Vade can bring the subcontinent to pieces if distributed judiciously!

Hey Ramya,
Whew. I never ever imagined that Maddur Vada could churn up such a remarkable thought process. I have travelled from Bangalore to Mysore deliberately taking the train just to taste MV. Its crunchy, peanuty, curryleafy taste has made me wonder why cannot I prepare same kind of MVs at home. After many futile attempts, I have bowed out. It just cannot be prepared at home!! It has to be tasted in buses, trains and rasta shops. Only then will it give out its real taste.
Loved your write-up.

That is simply NOT TRUE... drinking lemon juice with water before or after every meal is an appetite SUPPRESSANT, meaning it decreases the chances of wanting to eat constantly. Therefore, lemon juice with water help with weight loss, not weight gain. Believe me, I've been doing lemon juice and water fasting and cleanses for years now. If I drink about 16 ounces of lemon juice and water a day, for a week, and eat only two meals a day, I always lose at least 4lbs. by the end of the week, more if I omit the meals (therefore fasting).

As a side note the Sikh Guru's were not vegetarian. Some were and some were not.

Sikhism is not a vegetarian religion.

India is not 50% vegetarian.

To think vegetarian diet is the best is egotism, or in Sikhism called "Hankaar".

Like the writer says, vegetarian diet is to include all, not because it is the best.
